“We are made for survival first, and with that, the body is a great compensator.”

Mychal’s hands-on approach works superficially to deep, to help break the compensations up. He uses a wide variety of techniques to do this: rocking and pulsing, positional release, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and muscles activations. These techniques are all used to work with your nervous system, allow the body to get into a parasympathetic state for healing, and help you reach your movement goals. He is looking forward to helping as many people heal as possible.

Mychal is originally from Lake Park, IA. He worked in Ames, IA, as a personal trainer, and also continued his education for personal training on how the nervous system can influence movement. He later became certified in massage therapy at Body Wisdom Massage School, in Urbandale, IA (900-hour course). There he focused on many different hands-on techniques and different tools needed for each person. Since becoming a massage therapist, Mychal has expanded his learning to focus on neuroscience education. This focuses further on the nervous system, and has given him the tools to more accurately assess, identify, and target key areas of the nervous system, which impact movement, athletic performance, pain, and daily functioning - to help maximize clinical outcomes.

He lives near Spirit Lake with his wife Jennie, daughter Matilda, and they are expecting a baby boy soon. Mychal enjoys spending time with his family and relatives.
